We had a lovely time at LOULOUS vintage fayre in Oxford a few weeks ago. 

What a great way to meet people enthusiastic about all things vintage like me! A full skirt here, a flare, there , cowboy boys and vivienne westwood galore.

We hosted our pop up glamping vintage hair and makeup salon and was nonstop rolling, waving and pinning.

It felt really romantic to have my pop up salon in a town that means so much to me.

As a Tolkien fan an enthuast i always dreamt of perhaps having a vintage tea party parlour or hobbit themed cafe - but for many reasons that hasnt happened yet BUT the vintage fayre gave us a small glimpse of what could be. Id love to say we were the top Vintage hair and makeup artist in Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire and this is where we would be sought out by tourists, locals and brides afar .. but blowing my own aries trumpet was never my thing..

I feel the "vintage" bridal look is severely underated and perhaps misinterpreted.. its such a classic look and can be worn in a modern way - you dont have to go the full marilyn monroe or bettie page look ( although we love that) it can be Hollywood waves, a red lip, a classic pin curl set or just elements of an era. We LOVE having a niche but we are sooo capable of more and love meeting all and every kind of fabulous brides and being part of your day. 

ALTERNATIVE - this came up a few times at the weekend - what do I mean ? Well alternative for me , means different, not the mainstream etc - more towards gothic, punk, rockabilly, metal, counter culture etc we LOVE to be considered for those brides too - black lipstick ? err yes please ! Skulls, pumpkins - a coffin for a cake stand ? invite me or hire me.

Living in Buckinghamshire and oxfordshire sure has its perks - close to london , around 50 minutes to most film studios but the "alternative" market is dwindling. I just want to put it out there to other alternative wedding , unconventional wedding suppliers that i am here !! lets collab and lets make something magical!

Im not yet in a position to travel up north and beyond ( where it seems to be happening ) BUT lets make it happen here ?! we have amazing venues, history, and sure enough suppliers - lets just find our lovely idea; brides.
